The Book Journey
2009
Ian Day and I self-publish 'Where were all the Coaches when the Banks went down?'. It is our response to the financial crash of 2008. We didn't know it at the time, but this book would later become 'Challenging Coaching'.
2012
Challenging Coaching is published by Nicholas Brealey and launched at the CIPD conference in London. Here I am pictured with the winner of the 'guess the weight of the Challenging Coaching cake' competition.
2012
There's no day more exciting than when you receive the first copies of your first mainstream published book. Here is Ian Day and I celebrating that special moment with a glass of fizz.
2014
Ian and I are invited to Turin, Italy, to deliver a Challenging Coaching workshop for the internal coaching community at UniCredit bank. International gigs are always so memorable.
2015
The Trusted Executive content is presented for the first time at the Stretch leadership conference in Budapest. The venue is an amazing baroque theatre.
2016
Pictured with one of my heroes, Sir John Whitmore, who kindly wrote the foreword for Challenging Coaching and is here holding one of the first copies of The Trusted Executive. Sadly, John has dementia at this time and dies shortly later. A great man.
2017
Here pictured with Peep Aaviksoo in Tallinn, Estonia holding the first international language edition of The Trusted Executive. Peep has been a great sponsor of my work over the years and a wonderful host.
2019
Presenting at the AHIC conference in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. I started the session by singing 'Blowin' in the Wind' by Bob Dylan which was a shock to everyone, especially myself.
